The ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet is a premium, auto-adjusting (APAP) device and remains one of the most trusted CPAP machines across Australia. This product is an electrically powered device using continuous positive airway pressure to treat patients affected primarily by obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). The device may be used in the home or hospital. Resmed humidifiers are indicated for the humidification of air delivered to the airway during continuous, automatic and bilevel therapy. 3. How do I maintain and clean my CPAP equipment? 

Regular cleaning extends the life of your equipment and prevents mould, bacteria, and mineral buildup. Follow this basic schedule: 

  • Daily: Empty and rinse the humidifier tub with distilled water; let it air dry. 
  • Weekly: Clean the mask, tubing, and tub using warm, soapy water (fragrance-free detergent only); air dry completely before reassembling. 
  • Monthly: Inspect the air filter and replace if discoloured or dusty. 

Never submerge the machine itself—wipe it gently with a damp cloth when needed. The Complete Plan makes maintenance easier by scheduling replacement deliveries of filters, mask cushions, and tubing as needed. 

4. What if I find the therapy pressure uncomfortable?

5. How do I know if my CPAP therapy works?

6. Can I use tap water in the humidifier?  

It’s strongly recommended to use distilled or demineralised water in your humidifier. Tap water contains minerals that leave deposits in the tub, shortening its lifespan and increasing bacteria risk. 

The Complete Plan includes periodic water tub replacements, but using the right water will help extend the life of each tub between scheduled swaps. 

7. Can I travel with the AirSense 10 and my equipment?  

Absolutely. The AirSense 10 is airline-approved medical equipment and includes:
